January 15, 2024 @ 2:00 pm - January 14, 2025 @ 5:00 pm

In January 2024, Queen Jay Foundation launched its first major initiative, the “Feeding and Mentorship Program for Street Children in Nairobi.”
This impactful event brought together over 100 street children along Nairobi’s Grogon Street in the Central Business District for a day filled with nourishment, mentorship, and hope.

The event kicked off with warm meals at a hotel owned by Omosh, Led by the CEO & Co-Founder, Joan Williams, the team ensured that each child received not only food but also a sense of care and belonging.

For many of these children, this was the first time in weeks that they had enjoyed a proper meal. The feeding program was complemented by an interactive mentorship session, led by Joan William, Co-Founder of Queen Jay Foundation, alongside friends and well-wishers

The mentorship session focused on imparting life skills, including the importance of education, personal hygiene, and self-esteem. The street kids were encouraged to share their stories and aspirations, creating an environment of mutual respect and understanding.

The day ended with the distribution of hygiene kits, items of clothing to the children. The success of this event was evident in the smiles and gratitude expressed by the participants, reinforcing Queen Jay Foundation’s commitment to transforming the lives of Nairobi’s most vulnerable children.

This event set the tone for the Foundation’s future initiatives, demonstrating its ability to bring together resources and people to create a meaningful and lasting impact
